An NBC4/Telemundo 52 news helicopter crashed in Chatsworth on the evening of September 15 while covering a separate fatal Metro bus collision nearby. The helicopter came down between commercial buildings on Mason Avenue and caught fire, damaging vehicles and storage containers. Federal aviation authorities are expected to investigate the cause, which had not been established in the accepted reporting.
A Los Angeles Metro Line 166 bus was struck at the Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue intersection in Chatsworth on September 15, 2026. The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a new cultural institution in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, co-founded by filmmaker George Lucas and businesswoman Mellody Hobson.
